I was recently browsing through Youtube and found two cool videos about the Sprinter production line in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The first video was made by Mercedes Benz and explains the process of building a NCV3 Sprinter from body shop, via paint shop (Awesome how they dip the whole van in a tub of primer paint) to the final completion of the van in the assembly shop.
The second video is a longer, 10 minute visit to the assembly line without any voice over. Very interesting to hear how quiet it is actually – I was expecting much more noise from machines.
Some statistics from the first video about the plant: they employ 6600 people and build 700 Sprinters each day.
